  • Information Technology Project Manager

    The Information Technology Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple complex applications and infrastructure development projects to successful completion.  Additional responsibilities include the creation, dissemination, and maintenance of project management standards and methodologies.

    SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
    ·        Responsible for defining, planning, and executing multiple projects, actively participating in all phases of the project life-cycle, including the creation of the business case.
    ·        Identifies and organizes the required manpower resources for the project, including assigning and communicating team responsibilities.
    ·        Leads the project team with a clear focus on process improvement as part of the project life cycle.
    ·        Effectively estimates costs, timelines, and resource requirements for the successful delivery of projects to an agreed scope.
    ·        Ensures that realistic project and quality plans are prepared, including recommendations on technical options.
    ·        Tracks all activities against the plan, monitors costs, timelines and resources used, and takes action where deviations occur.
    ·        Provides regular timely reporting to project team members, IT leadership, and internal customers.
    ·        Identifies, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project including a clear escalation mechanism designed to resolve problems before their impact endangers project viability.
    ·        Effectively manages change control procedures to gain agreement from project sponsors and to review impact of proposed changes on the Business Case.
    ·        Creates metrics and lessons learned after each project phase and ensures these are documented in a central repository for use on future phases and projects.
    ·        Drives engagement with all business partners and stakeholders and ensures commitment towards individual and group responsibilities.
    ·        Provide mentorship to IT colleagues in regards to project management best practices.
    ·        Evaluates and recommends project management tools and resources.


    Required Qualifications
    ·        BS/MS, preferably in a technology discipline
    ·        6+ years overall working in an IT applications development group required
    ·        Additional experience in an infrastructure (servers, networking, etc) group a plus
    ·        2+ years global or large scale program/project management experience required
    ·        Experience with Oracle e-Business Suite a plus
    ·        Experience with Microsoft Sharepoint a plus
    ·        PMI PMP (or equivalent) certification preferred
    ·        Experience with agile project management / development a plus
    ·        Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate well with others and reconcile differences among resources/departments
    ·        Excellent written/verbal skills with demonstrated ability to present articulate and compelling proposals to a non-technical audience
    ·        Strong demonstrated leadership skills required
