Helpdesk Engineer

This position requires a level 2 helpdesk engineer with a clear understanding of networking, wireless and unified communication technologies. Must be able to evaluate alerts generated by customer monitoring tools and mange follow through and resolution. This position requires a demonstrated ability of commonly - used concepts, practices, and procedures within IP LAN and WAN networks.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage and track customer issues utilizing client Help Desk Trouble Reporting Systems (EHD and ConnectWise).
  • Support and Configure router and voice gateway configurations and is versed in Layer 2 & 3 switch configurations.
  • Support and Configure technology products in the areas of Network Infrastructure (Core & Remote) switches and routers, Firewall/VPN Security, and Wireless systems.
  • Support and Configure Cisco Unified Communication Product Line.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates degree
  • Minimum of one year experience in the implementation and/or maintenance of converged networks utilizing Cisco products.
  • Hands on knowledge and experience configuring and maintaining of Cisco Unified Communications systems are preferred.
  • Experience/education in most of the products that we install.
  • Cisco CCNA is preferred.
  • Strong verbal, written communication and customer facing skills are mandatory.

 

 

Locations: Albany/Schenectady/Clifton Park, New York
Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000 plus Benefits
