UNIX SYSTEMS ENGINEER

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS

The UNIX Systems Engineer is responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of hardware and operating systems software in a multi-vendor UNIX environment. Additional responsibilities include management of backup and restore activities for all servers on our network as well as the creation and maintenance of documentation supporting development, test and production environments.

Education and/or Experience

• B.A./B.S. in Computer Science or related field
• Minimum five to seven years computer network related experience
• Experience with Unix (Solaris, Linux) Servers and Windows Servers
• Red Hat – RHCT minimum
• Cisco Certifications – CCNA minimum
• Project management experience
